A Nationally Ranked Professional Sales Education Program

The Department of Marketing in the College of Business offers a nationally recognized professional sales program. In conjunction with the Professional Sales Institute (PSI), the professional sales program was named one of the Top University Sales Programs in the United States by the University Sales Education Foundation in 2011 for the fifth consecutive year. Illinois State University is one of only 11 universities nationally to offer a specialized undergraduate program in professional sales.

In addition, the professional sales program at Illinois State University is recognized as a full member of the University Sales Center Alliance (USCA). There are only 16 universities in the United States that are full members of the USCA. Full membership requires that the institution have a separate center or institute to support professional sales. The Professional Sales Institute fulfills this requirement. Full membership also requires passing five strict criteria for USCA certification including: staff, structure, curriculum, affiliation, and quality. .
